This week's Bourbon and Distillery News includes major updates from Garrard County Distilling Co., which has entered receivership amid over $28 million in debt, and layoffs at Nelson's Green Brier Distillery. The Kentucky Bourbon Festival 2025 sold out in record time, while Gregg Snyder joins Four Branches Bourbon as Master Distiller. Buffalo Trace Distillery continues its post-flood recovery, and new Bourbon Trail-themed lottery games have launched in partnership with the Kentucky Lottery and the Kentucky Distillers' Association. Left Bank Bourbon joins the KDA, and James B. Beam Distilling Co. has announced its 2025 event lineup. Devils River Distillery's assets are set for auction, and RD1 Spirits will open a new Lexington brand destination distillery alongside a special 12-year release. Also in the news: The Obscure Distillery in California is challenging New York's direct shipping law in federal court.
